Put it on your home screen
Rate it Straight works like an app once it's on your home screen. Then you can share a product to it from any shop app or website.
Open this page on your phone and we will show only the steps for your browser.
Android
- Tap the menu (three dots) at the top right.
- Tap Install app. If you see Add to Home screen instead, tap that.
To look up a product from another app, tap Share there and choose Rate it Straight.
iPhone and iPad
- Tap the Share button (a square with an arrow). If you can't see it, tap the three dots first.
- Tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.
The "Rate this straight" shortcut
iPhones and iPads don't let websites appear in the Share menu, so a shortcut does it. It sends only the link or words you share.
- Open the Shortcuts app and tap + to make a new shortcut.
- Name it "Rate this straight".
- Tap the (i) button and turn on Show in Share Sheet. Under Receive, keep URLs, Safari web pages and Text, and turn the rest off.
- Add the action "URL Encode" and set it to encode the Shortcut Input.
- Add the action "Open URLs" with this address, then tap at the end of it and insert the URL Encoded Text: https://www.rateitstraight.com/share?text=
- Tap Done. In Safari or a shop app, tap Share, then Rate this straight.
