Help and words we use

Short answers for the labels and terms you will see on the site.

Phone verified

The reviewer confirmed a phone number. Their review counts towards the score. It does not prove they own the product, and each number can be used on one account.

Unverified

The reviewer has not confirmed a phone number. You can read the review, but it does not count towards the score.

Incentivised

The reviewer was given something for the review, such as a free product or a payment. You can read it, but it does not count towards the score.

Machine-translated

A computer translated this review, so it may not be perfect. The original words are kept, and you can show them.

Counting reviews

The reviews that go into a score: phone verified, not incentivised, and one rating per person for each product.

No score yet

A score needs at least 3 counting reviews. With fewer, one or two opinions could swing it too far, so we leave it out.

The 6 and 12 month update

Some problems only show up after months of use. We ask owners to add an update after 6 and 12 months, and the product page shows what they say.

How it held up

What owners say about the product after they have had it for a while.

Tie-breaker

A way to put up to three products side by side, with their scores. It does not pick a winner.

In a pickle?

Stuck choosing between products? Ask for help. We may ask people who own them, and they can answer.
